Get the Most Out of Your New Vehicle

Keeping a new car in great shape, like any new item, can seem like a real challenge at times. You would surely want to get the best out of your new car, while still keeping the running and repair costs to the minimum.

Here are some tips for how to keep your vehicle running smoothly - for the long run:

Drive on the conservative side- One of the best things you can do for a long lasting car is to start it up properly and drive conservatively, take it easy on the accelerator as well as the brakes.

Drive on a regular basis- Keeping it in a garage can get you more repair jobs than needed. When getting a car, make sure its one you can use for your daily routine; going to work, picking up the kids, running errands, etc.

Keeping a tuned engine- keeping your engine in tune prevents it from a fouled spark plug or a plugged/restricted fuel injector, which can reduce fuel efficiency as much as 30%.

Try not to keep to many items inside- Lighter loads will help keep your MPG at peak performance.

Change oil and air filters regularly - You don't want to much blockage in the filters. Be sure to check the owner's manual for your vehicle and keep the oil changes (and other regular maintenance) at the recommended intervals!
